When Maddison was 3 years old we knew her speech was just not where it was supposed to be.  We had her tested by Kennedy Krieger and by our school system and there was some sort of speech delay.  We got information about Frankly Communicating through Kennedy Krieger and contacted them right away.  Maddison has been seeing Heather for about 3 years and has made amazing progress.  Heather informed us that Maddison has an Auditory Processing Delay, which after being described to us made perfect sense.  She has grown leaps and bounds, when we started she could speak clearly but only 3-5 words at a time and you could tell there was a kind of delay with processing information.  Meaning if we told her to do three different things she would only really remember or process the first one.  She now speaks very appropritately for her age and is working hard to get her language processing skills down for a kindergartener.  Mrs. Heather has helped me as a parent on how to work with a child with this kind of delay as well as really helping me in working with my daughter's school and getting her goals and needs made clear and met.  Maddison is now 6 years old and she is progressing everyday.  She loves Mrs. Heather and is devastated when we have to miss a class or session.  We just recently started working with Ms. Jessica and my Maddison already tells me how wonderful she is and  that she loves going to speech.  I think Frankly Communicating was the answer, they are so supportive and skilled at what they do.  It is  just amazing!  I am thankful everyday we found exactly what my daughter needed.
