When our son Jack was 2 years old, he could say 20 words, knew all his letters and letters sounds and could count to 10.  But 6 months later he had not made any progress and we felt like he was drifting away.  At 2 he was diagnosed with asthma, at 2 1/2 he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and at 3 PDD/ADD.  He was still not making any progress and was referred to Frankly Communicating for speech therapy.  At first it seemed painfully slow, just trying to get his attention and keep him on task.  We are now 8 months in to speech therapy; 5 months with Heather and the change in Jack is nothing short of a miracle.  Before he was just pointing or showing us what he wanted.  Now he can tell us what he wants in complete sentences!  I always get wonderful comments about how much Jack has changed in the past year.  We can never thank the staff at Frankly Communicating enough for all their patience and praise they have given him.

Frankly Communicating was officially established in January 2006. We provide individual or group sessions in our office as well as to provide contractual services to our surrounding school systems and health care facilities.  Our clinic is located in the heart of Westminster, MD.  Here we are able to provide affordable yet comprehensive assessments to determine each client's specific needs.  When calling our clinic we will help to determine which assessments would pinpoint current concerns.  Once we know areas that each client needs to work on, we pride ourselves in customizing a therapy plan to meet the precise needs and learning style of the individual.

We are excited to announce a second office opening March 1st 2011 in Reisterstown, MD.

Our Westminster office has three therapy room, each set up to meet specific needs of our clients.  The larger therapy room accomodates our adult clients and many of the children that are able to focus with a variety of distractors.  A smaller therapy room is equipped with a full wall mirror and is used primarily with articulation.  Finally, the last therapy room has minimal distractions, a built in picture schedule board.  This room can be modified quickly to set the client's current therapy plan.
